Denitrifications of Swine Wastewater with Various Temperature and Initial C/N Ratio in Anoxic Reactor
Kim Min-Ho

Kim Bok-Hyun
Abstract
The biological denitrification batch tests were conducted to optimize the operating conditions with various temperature and initial SCODcr/NO©ýN ratio. and the denitrification rates were analyzed various SCODcr/NO©ýN ratio of influent with swine wastes fermented and temperature. The finishing time of denitrification was within 15 hours, 12 hours, and 6 hours as the temperature of denitrification applied were 15¡¾1¡É, 25¡¾1¡É, and 31¡¾1¡É, respectively. From the batch tests, denitrification rate was operated with over 3 of SCODcr/NO©ý-N ratio. Denitrification rate was increased as the temperature of denitrification, increased such as 2.40-3.90 mg NO©ýN/gMLVSS¤ýhr, 6.10-7.60 mgNON/gMLVSS¤ýhr, and 14.40-15.88 mgNO©ý-N/gMLVSS. hr, respectively. The denitrification rate was increased as the ratio of initial SCODcr/NO©ýN increased. However, it was found that the suitable ratio of SCODcr/NO©ýN for denitrification should be considered because the ratio of mg SCODcr consumed per mg NO©ý-N removed varied depend on the influent SCODcr/ TKN ratios.
